Tequila & Mezcal

Tequila and mezcal are both Mexican spirits made from the agave plant, but they differ in production methods, flavour, and origin. Tequila is specifically made from blue agave and must be produced in certain regions of Mexico, primarily in Jalisco. It’s typically known for its smoother, more refined taste.

Mezcal, on the other hand, can be made from various types of agave and has a distinct smoky flavour due to its traditional production process, where agave hearts are roasted in underground pits. This difference in production gives mezcal a more complex and earthy profile compared to tequila
